We won’t put a shade on your car that gets you pulled over. Here is what the Highway Traffic Act allows on a passenger vehicle.

Windshield
Must stay at 70% VLT or lighter. We install a sun strip across the top only.
Front side windows
70% VLT minimum. Our lightest ceramic film sits right at the limit and still rejects most of the heat.

No legal minimum. Choose anything from 50% down to 5% limo.

The questions we get most about tint and Ontario law.

Yes — with restrictions. Ontario law requires the front windshield to have a minimum 70% visible light transmission (VLT). Front side windows must also be at least 70% VLT. Rear side windows and the rear windshield have no legal VLT minimum for passenger vehicles. We ensure every installation is road-legal and we'll advise you on the darkest legal options for your setup.

Window tint blocks up to 99% of UV rays (protecting skin and preventing interior fade), reduces solar heat by up to 60% (keeping your car cooler in summer), reduces glare for safer driving, and increases privacy. High-performance ceramic films also don't interfere with GPS, phone signals, or toll transponders.

We install four Autobahn films: Autobahn Black, a dyed film, plus Black Ceramic, Ceramic i3 and Ceramic i3+. XPEL Prime films are also available. We're an XPEL-certified installer and an Autobahn-certified installer. For most drivers we recommend a ceramic film for the extra heat rejection.

Tinting the two front windows starts at $150 in Autobahn Black and $200 in Black Ceramic. A full sedan starts at $325 in Autobahn Black and $675 in Ceramic i3+. XPEL Prime films are quoted per vehicle. Prices are before HST, and we confirm your exact price before we start.

Every film we install carries a lifetime warranty against fading, peeling and bubbling. The tint that fades and turns purple within a few years is unbranded film with no warranty behind it.
