Paint Correction in Toronto & Etobicoke
Swirls, water spots, buffer trails and fine scratches live in the clear coat. Machine polishing removes them and brings back the depth the paint had on the showroom floor. It’s the step that decides how good everything after it looks.

Stages
How far we take it.
We inspect under the hex lights and measure paint depth before recommending a stage. Never more cut than the clear coat can give.
01
Single stage
Enhancement
One pass with a fine polish. Lifts light swirls and haze, restores gloss. The right choice for newer paint or a car about to be coated that's already in good shape.
02
Two stage
Correction
A compounding pass to cut the defects, then a polishing pass to refine the finish. Removes most swirl marks, water spots and light scratches.
03
Three stage
Full correction
Heavy cut, medium cut, finishing polish. Our most aggressive process, for neglected paint, buffer trails and deeper marring, before a full-body film or coating.
Why correct
Protection locks in whatever is underneath.
- Before coating
- A ceramic coating seals the surface for years. Correct first and you seal in gloss, not swirls.
- Before film
- PPF is optically clear. Defects under it stay visible, so high-impact panels are polished before film goes on.
- On its own
- Not every car needs protection. A corrected, sealed finish is a transformation by itself, especially on dark paint.

Paint correction, answered.
The questions we get most about polishing.
Paint correction is the process of removing surface defects from your vehicle's clear coat — including swirl marks, water spots, light scratches, oxidation, and buffer trails — using machine polishers and progressively finer compounds and polishes. The result is a mirror-smooth finish with dramatically improved gloss and clarity.
We offer single-stage (enhancement), two-stage (medium correction), and three-stage (full correction) polishing. A stage-one polish removes minor defects and adds gloss. A two-stage corrects most swirl marks and scratches. A three-stage is our most aggressive cut, removing up to 80–90% of paintwork defects and is recommended before a ceramic coating or PPF installation.
Paint correction removes defects within the clear coat layer — typically swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation. Scratches that have cut through the clear coat into the base coat or primer cannot be corrected by polishing and require a paint respray. We'll inspect your vehicle and give you an honest assessment before any work begins.
Absolutely — and we always recommend it. Ceramic coating locks in whatever condition your paint is in, including defects. Correcting first and then coating means you're locking in a flawless surface. Our full-correction-plus-ceramic packages offer the best long-term value.

The Journal →Does Paint Correction Thin Your Clear Coat? What's Safe and What Isn't
Yes, paint correction removes a little clear coat. That's how it works. Done properly it takes only a few microns, measured and controlled. Here is how much is actually removed, what makes correction unsafe, and why you correct once and then protect.
Single-Stage vs Two-Stage Paint Correction: Which Does Your Car Need?
Single-stage correction is a one-step polish from $300. Two-stage adds a cutting step first, from $650. Here is what each one removes, how to tell which your paint needs, and why the right answer isn't always the bigger one.
Swirl Marks on Your Car: What Causes Them and How to Remove Them for Good
Those cobweb circles you see in direct sun are swirl marks: fine scratches in the clear coat, mostly put there by washing. Here is what causes them, why wax only hides them, what it costs to remove them properly in Toronto, and how to stop them coming back.
